2. You won’t always get what you want
3. Many people will love you, but many will not
4. Nobody can transform your life like you can
5. You are going to fail
6. Rain will sometimes cancel play
7. There may be no tomorrow
8. Someone else will always have more
11:30 A.M. with Jane. She’s cool.
i’ve been listening to bands i grew up listening to a lot more recently, and watching some of the first movies i had ever set my eyes upon, and it got me thinking on how different the world has changed over the past 10 years.
10 years ago, the teenage youth weren’t so dependent on the internet. the music industry was doing well; illegally downloading music was unheard of. our economy wasn’t half as fucked up as it is now.
just watching movies like fox & the hound, or the aristocats (all time disney classics, not like the shit they’re releasing nowadays), and listening to revolutionary bands such as the beatles, and oasis (when the music industry cared more about the music, rather than the haircuts) just takes me back to my past, and scares me about growing up.
i’m nearly 18 years old, and i haven’t done much with my life. tomorrow, will be a new day, and it’s time to plan out my future.
john lennon’s voice is phenomenal
matthew arnold thiessen, mmhmm is such a good album.
